Terms of Membership

Welcome to Collected Circles Ltd (registered company number 16900749), trading as LegaltechLive, a Private Limited Company, registered at 91 St Marys Road, Liverpool, L19 2NL.
These Terms & Conditions govern your Membership and participation in the LegaltechLive community, events, and activities.
By joining as a Member, purchasing Member Passes, attending events, or accessing our services, you agree to comply with these Terms.
1. Overview
LegaltechLive is a membership-based community for law firms, legal tech companies, service providers, and professionals working in or supporting the legal sector. Our mission is to create authentic, people-first spaces for collaboration, innovation, and shared learning.
Membership is purchased per Brand, with the option to buy additional Member Passes for your team.
2. Membership Structure
2.1. Brand Membership
Membership is held at Brand level. A Brand may be a law firm, legal tech company, consultancy, or any organisation operating within the legal sector.
2.2. Member Passes
A Brand Membership includes one Member Pass. Additional Member Passes can be purchased to allow multiple team members to participate.
2.3. Access Rights
Each Member Pass allows one representative to attend events at any given time, including:
- Open Mic sessions
- Circle events
- Member-only gatherings
- In-person or virtual sessions
Special edition events may require additional fees.
3. Term, Renewal & Cancellation
3.1. 12-Month Minimum Term
All Memberships are subject to a minimum 12-month contractual commitment (“Annual Term”).
3.2. Automatic Renewal
Membership automatically renews for a further 12 months unless the Brand provides written notice of cancellation at least 30 days before the renewal date.
3.3. No Mid-Term Cancellation
Membership cannot be cancelled part-way through the Annual Term.
3.4. No Refunds
Membership fees are non-refundable under all circumstances, including non-attendance, change of business circumstances, staffing changes, or dissatisfaction.
4. Payment Terms
4.1. Invoicing & Direct Debit
Membership fees are collected monthly in advance via Direct Debit, unless otherwise agreed.
- VAT is charged at the standard rate on all fees.
- Without prejudice to any other right or remedy that it may have, if the Brand fails to pay the LgealtechLive any sum due under this agreement on the due date
a) the Customer shall pay interest on the overdue sum from the due date until payment of the overdue sum, whether before or after judgement.
b) Interest will accrue each day at 4% a year above the Bank of England's base rate from time to time; and
c) the Customer shall pay the following administrative charges in addition tointerest clause above:
i) for invoices up to £999 - £100;
ii) for invoices between £1,000 and £9,999 - £150; and
iii) for invoices of £10,000 and above - £200.
3. The Supplier may suspend all or part of the Services until payment has been made in full.
4.2. Failed Payments
If a payment fails:
- We will notify the Member
- A reattempt will be made
- If unpaid for more than 14 days, Membership may be suspended or terminated
All fees remain payable for the full Annual Term.
5. Fair Use Policy
To ensure fairness and a positive experience for all Members, you agree that:
- Member Passes may not be rotated across an unlimited number of individuals
- Directory information must not be used for unsolicited sales or mass marketing
- Open Mic opportunities must not be used for aggressive selling or misleading claims
- Circles are confidential; content must not be shared outside the session
- Behaviour that disrupts events, dominates discussions, or undermines inclusivity is not permitted
LegaltechLive may suspend or terminate Membership for breaches.
6. Member Responsibilities
Members must:
- Follow the Code of Conduct
- Respect confidentiality within Circle sessions
- Use Directory information ethically
- Engage constructively and respectfully
- Comply with all event guidelines and facilitator instructions
- Represent their Brand professionally
7. Event Participation
Members gain access to a range of events including Open Mics, Circles, and community sessions. LegaltechLive reserves the right to:
- Adjust event formats
- Change topics, speakers, or facilitators
- Limit places for capacity reasons
- Require pre-registration
- Refuse entry to anyone breaching the Code of Conduct
Attendance does not guarantee business leads or professional outcomes.
8. Privacy & Data
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy & Data Sharing Policy.
By joining LegaltechLive, you consent to:
- Being listed in our Member Directory (with opt-out available)
- Your name and Brand being visible to other Members
- Event attendee lists being shared with attendees
- Photos and videos being taken at events for promotional use (with opt-out options)
- Data being shared with:
- Lucas & Co Consultants Ltd
- In A Bit Tech Ltd
- Dawn Morris Consultancy Ltd
as part of the administration and delivery of LegaltechLive services
9. Changes to Services & Terms
LegaltechLive may update:
- These Terms
- The Code of Conduct
- Event formats
- Membership benefits
- Community structures
- Online platforms
Members will be notified of material updates. Continued participation constitutes acceptance.
10. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, event formats, and materials remain the property of LegaltechLive.
Members must not reproduce or distribute content without permission.
Open Mic presenters confirm that they own their material and grant LegaltechLive permission to share or promote it unless they opt out in writing.
11. Termination
LegaltechLive may terminate Membership with immediate effect if:
- Fees remain unpaid
- A Member breaches these Terms
- A Member breaches the Code of Conduct
- A Member misuses data
- Behaviour jeopardises the safety, integrity, or reputation of the community
No refunds will be issued.
12. Limitation of Liability
LegaltechLive is not liable for:
- Loss of revenue, business, or opportunities
- Indirect or consequential losses
- Reliance on information shared by Members
- Third-party actions
- Event cancellations or unforeseen changes
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
